Usually a basement bargain surgeon offers cheap surgery to attract new clients because they do not have the reputation of producing happy clients. Not only does a low cost plastic surgeon with inadequate qualifications put the health of the patient at risk, it can cost the patient more in the long run. A good surgeon must be board certified and have ample experience in that particular type of plastic surgery. A surgeon who specializes in face lifts is probably not the best person to be performing liposuction. Certified surgeons are put through tedious training programs and exams so any doctor would be proud to show off his accomplishments. This means that no patient should be shy about asking to verify the surgeon’s credentials.
Another thing that a good surgeon will take care of is the patient’s goals and expectations. They will care more about the patient’s well being than trying to make the sale and might recommend alternatives that could better produce the desired results.
It is always a good idea to pay a little more if that means ensuring the best possible care. Any surgery is a serious matter and as such there should not be a compromise between money and quality of care. If the cost of plastic surgery is too high there are financing options available.
